Modern Slavery Statement 54.1

Modern Slavery Statement 54.1

This Statement is made pursuant to Section 54[1] of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and applies to Secure Valeting Ltd. part of Secure Group Ltd. [referred to in this statement as ‘the Organisation’].

Secure Valeting Ltd recognises that modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and are fully committed to ensuring ethical and transparent practices across all areas of our business.

As a provider of valeting and vehicle preparation services within the automotive sector, the company acknowledge our responsibility to identify, assess, and manage potential risks within our supply chain and franchisee model.

What is Modern Slavery?

It is the forced and compulsory labour of people including human trafficking. The victims are usually overseas workers or vulnerable people from the UK. Usually, the person will be forced to work unlawfully long hours, paid substantially below legal rates, and will have had their passports and other personal possessions taken away from them. They are forced to work through mental and/or physical threat and abuse. They are owned and controlled by their employer, dehumanised, and treated as a commodity and have a restriction on their freedom of movement and ability to leave the poor working conditions they are trapped in.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Secure Valeting Ltd. operates across the UK, providing professional vehicle valeting, preparation, and support services to dealerships, fleet operators, and vehicle manufacturers.

We partner with a small group of approved suppliers who are required to complete a supplier approval process, confirming compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and our own Supplier Code of Conduct.

Our franchisees and self-employed subcontractors undergo eligibility and compliance checks before engagement, including right-to-work verification, to ensure that all labour is sourced ethically and lawfully.

Responsibilities and Governance

The Board of Directors holds overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. Day-to-day management of our approach sits with our HR and Health & Safety teams, who oversee risk assessments, policy reviews, and training.

Managers are responsible for ensuring their teams understand and comply with our Modern Slavery Policy and reporting procedures.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

Secure Valeting Ltd partners with a select group of approved suppliers for the procurement of goods and services. Each supplier is required to complete a comprehensive Supplier Approval Form to ensure compliance with our standards and expectations.

The primary area of risk within our operational structure arises from our franchise model, where self-employed personnel undergo a series of thorough checks to verify their suitability, eligibility, and right to work before engagement. These measures form an integral part of our commitment to maintaining ethical, compliant, and responsible business practices.

Training and Awareness

The Organisation ensures all managers and key personnel responsible for supplier relationships receive online training on identifying and preventing modern slavery.

All franchisees are made aware of our Modern Slavery Policy during induction, and refresher training and on-site signage is provided periodically to reinforce awareness and responsibility.

If you suspect anyone you come into contact with during your employment with us, is subject to modern slavery by their employer, you should report this confidentially to: antislavery@securegroup.co.uk

Every instance will be taken seriously and fully investigated. You will not be victimised for your reporting of a situation and can ask to remain anonymous. You will be fully supported through your reporting of any genuine belief of modern slavery

Commitment

Secure Valeting Ltd. remains committed to continuous improvement in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be reviewed and updated annually.
